This policy explains how Avalon Technology Solutions LLC, doing business as Elevated Group ("Elevated Group", "we", "us" and "our"), collects, uses and protects information on elevated-business-services.com (the "Site") and in the services we provide through it, including our AI website chat.
The Site is a general audience site and is not intended for children younger than 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 16.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Quote and contact forms: your name, work email, phone number, company, number of employees, and, if you choose, your current provider and what you pay today.
- Support requests: your name, how to reach you, and the details of your request.
- Proposals, agreements and number transfers: the business and contact details needed to quote, sign up and set up service, including the authorized signer and the account details your current provider needs to release your phone numbers.
- Our website chat: the messages you type, and any contact details you choose to give. See section 2.
- Phone, email and in person: what you tell us when you contact us.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, your browser sends us network information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, the site that referred you, and the date and time. If you arrive from an advertisement or a campaign link, we also receive the campaign details in that link, such as its source and the advertising platform's click identifier. Our quote forms and our chat record the page you were on, the referring site and these campaign details, so we can tell which pages and campaigns lead to enquiries.
2. Our AI website chat
The chat on the Site is answered by an AI assistant. It can answer questions about our cloud business phone service and pass your details to our team when you ask it to. It is not a person, and its answers are general information, not a quote or a contract: anything about price or terms is confirmed in writing on your quote.
What we keep
- The messages you and the assistant exchange.
- The page you started on, the pages you viewed during that visit, the referring site and any campaign details.
- Your approximate country.
- A one-way coded form of your IP address, used only to stop abuse such as automated messages. We do not keep your IP address itself with the chat.
- If you ask us to contact you, the name, phone number, email address and company you give, and a short summary of what you asked for.
How we use it
- To answer you, and, if you ask, to have a member of our team contact you. Contact details you give are added to our customer records as an enquiry.
- To review the assistant's answers and improve what it knows. Members of our team read chat conversations for this purpose, and a team member may reply to you in the chat.
- To understand which pages and campaigns lead to enquiries.
Who processes it
We use technology service providers to run the chat, including to generate the assistant's replies. They process chat messages on our behalf to provide the service, under the same limits as our other contractors described in section 5.
How long we keep it
Chat conversations are deleted automatically 365 days after their last message. Your browser also keeps a copy of your conversation for 24 hours so it survives a page reload; clearing your browser's site data removes it sooner. An enquiry you asked us to act on stays in our customer records for as long as we have a business need for it (see section 8).
The chat does not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. A person on our team handles every quote and every agreement.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- respond to your requests and send you the quotes, proposals and information you ask for;
- set up, deliver, support and bill the services you buy, including transferring your phone numbers;
- communicate with you about your account, your service and your requests;
- send marketing about our products and services to people who have not objected to receiving it;
- understand how the Site is used, measure which pages and campaigns work, and improve the Site and our services;
- keep the Site and our systems secure and prevent fraud and abuse; and
- comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and protect our rights.
4. SMS messaging and mobile information
If you provide your mobile telephone number and voluntarily opt in to receive SMS or text messages from Elevated Group, we may collect and use your mobile telephone number and SMS opt-in information to provide the text messaging services you have requested. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
We do not share, sell, or disclose mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, text messaging originator opt-in data, or SMS or text messaging consent information to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We do not use SMS opt-in data or text messaging consent information for purposes unrelated to providing the messaging services for which you provided consent. We may share this information with service providers that help us provide our text messaging services; they may access it only as necessary to provide those services and may not use it for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:
- Service providers and contractors that help us run the Site and our business, such as hosting, email, chat, analytics, and the carriers and platforms that deliver our phone service. Their access is limited to what they need to perform their function, and they are required to keep it confidential.
- With your consent, or at your direction, for example when you ask us to transfer your numbers from your current provider.
- For legal reasons: to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena or court order; to protect you or others from harm; to investigate fraud or abuse; or to protect our rights and property.
- In a business transfer: if all or part of our business is merged, acquired or transferred, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, to be used consistently with this policy.
We may share aggregated information that does not identify you.
6. Cookies, local storage and advertising
The Site uses cookies and browser storage to work properly, for example to keep you signed in or to keep your chat conversation during a visit. We may also use analytics and advertising tags, including from Google and Microsoft, to measure visits and the results of our advertising, and to show our ads to people who have visited the Site. These providers may use cookies to serve ads based on past visits to the Site. You can opt out of Google's use of cookies through Google's Ads Settings, and of many providers' use of cookies through the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page. You can also set your browser to refuse cookies, though parts of the Site may then not work.
7. How we protect information
We protect information with administrative, technical and physical safeguards, and we ask our service providers to do the same. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information on our systems or theirs.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal information while we have an ongoing business need to do so, such as providing the services you requested or meeting legal requirements. Chat conversations are deleted on the schedule in section 2. When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymize it, or, if that is not yet possible, store it securely and isolate it from further use until it can be deleted.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia and Nevada, you may have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, to receive a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. You may use an authorized agent, with your written permission, to make a request on your behalf. To make a request, contact us as described below; we may need to verify your identity before we act on it.
10. Links to other sites
The Site may link to sites run by others. We do not control their privacy practices; please read their policies.
